You Got to Have Faith- Matthew 21:1-22

Reading today’s passage there is one common theme, Jesus being glorified through the faith of others. The passage concludes with Jesus stating, “, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and it will be done.” But let’s look at how Jesus is faithfully followed before this statement is made.

First, Jesus tells his disciple to simply tell anyone who inquires as to why they are taking a donkey that the Lord needs them and they will consent. Next we see those in Jerusalem, praising Jesus as he rides into town, and then the children continue the praises to the frustration of the Pharisees.

Each of these actions takes faith.Whether it’s faith despite the unknown response or criticism of others, trusting and praising God is an action of faith. How will you show your faith today?
