The Story - Chapter 16 - Isaiah 35
Isaiah is often referred to as the greatest of Israel's prophets. He foretold Jesus' life and death with incredible detail to such things as how he would be rejected by his own people, his silence before his accusers, being pierced and crucified with thieves, and much more. These predictions all came true and what Jesus did was for us. Simple us, just as we are, with all of our baggage.
We All Have "Stuff" It may be recent, it may be in our past, but it's there for each and every one of us. While reading Isaiah 53, two lines grabbed my heart. They were very familiar, and as I re-read them, music came into my mind. If you do not listen to Christian radio, or some sort of Christian music, you may want to start. A multitude of musicians get their material from the bible; THE MOST IMPORTANT BOOK EVER WRITTEN. Each song holds a message from within those pages. A message God wants us to hear.
Isaiah 53: 5 "He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our sins;
the punishment that brought us peace was upon Him, and by his wounds we are healed."
