How often do I pray for God to open my mind so that I can understand! There is so much in this world that is beyond my understanding. If I have trouble grasping the things of this world, how much more is my puzzlement over the things of God.
"I am going to send you what my Father has promised; but stay in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high." (Luke 24:49)
But, and this is huge...as Christians we have the Holy Spirit to call upon for clarity and wisdom and discernment. As Christians we are clothed with power from on high. What does this mean for us today? Is heavenly insight even possible for mere human minds? Scripture says all we need do is ask for wisdom and it is ours.
For me, the morning quiet time, those first minutes spent with God are often enlightening. God is so faithful to show up and even sit down next to me as I pour over a scripture or a meaningful devotion. God speaks when I listen. When does God speak to you?
