Psalm 100:1-5 (NIV) Shout for joy to the LORD, all
the earth. Worship the LORD with
gladness; come before him with joyful songs. Know that the LORD is God. It is he who made us, and
we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture. Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts
with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. For the LORD is good and his love endures forever;
his faithfulness continues through all generations.
Shout, worship, come, know, enter, give, praise; all these words denote action on our part. Action which will move us from quietly sitting to boldly acting out. There are times for quiet contemplation and there are times for jubilant joy. I am sensing that today is a day to make some noise.
Matthew 6:34 (NIV) Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
I don't know about you, but when I am worried about something I tend to be still. I am not necessarily pouting or in a dark mood, but probably thinking and planning a way out of my predicament. When I put my mind into gear I have to concentrate with a focused mindset. We all have troubles and things that are a concern, but it is so important to handle them smart. God is impressing upon my heart that it does no good to worry. There is no value in fretting over a problem or trying to solve it alone.
Now that I know enough to turn to God first and ask His advice, plead with God to send His Holy Spirit to me for wisdom and understanding. God wants me to be happy, content and at peace. He offers this blissful state of mind to each of us. All we have to do to go to Him, run to Him and lay out your worries at the foot of the cross. Sound too easy...try it once.
Then you will know that it is now time to be loud, to shout, to praise and to boldly act out!
Psalm 97, 99, 100
