Our Walk and Talk Tell All

Acts 22:14-16 (NIV)
"Then he said: 'The God of our fathers has chosen you to know his will and to see the Righteous One and to hear words from his mouth.
You will be his witness to all men of what you have seen and heard.
And now what are you waiting for? Get up, be baptized and wash your sins away, calling on his name.'

In these verses Paul is giving his testimony to the people.  He told them about his former self - the persecutor of members of The Way.  He admitted to the crowds that he too, denied Jesus was God and wanted to rid the world of any such notion.

Acts 22:21-22 (NIV)
"Then the Lord said to me, 'Go; I will send you far away to the Gentiles.'"
The crowd listened to Paul until he said this. Then they raised their voices and shouted, "Rid the earth of him! He's not fit to live!"

When he continued his testimony by saying that God chose him (Paul) to be a witness to all men (including Gentiles), the crowd lost it. God's plan, however, would not be thwarted; the Gentiles were hearing the Good News through Jewish Christians, such as Paul and Peter.

Unbelievers the world over are still hearing the Gospel through people on a Mission for Christ. Those people include you and me.  The way we talk and act, tell people our true character. The old Bible School song, "They will know we are Christians by our Love," is still true. Our actions speak louder than words.

Acts 21:40-22:23
