Hand it Over!

Our wild and crazy lives often leave us breathless, wondering what to do next or asking when will the madness end?  Busy, busy, busy is our mantra.  When we greet one another and inquire how we are the usual response is fine, but busy.  Don't you find that true?

Young adults are running their children from one school or sporting event to another; day after day. We find ourselves longing for retirement only to discover we are busier than ever; it is just a different kind of busy.

Hebrews 4:7 (NIV)
Therefore God again set a certain day, calling it Today, when a long time later he spoke through David, as was said before: "Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts."

What do you do to pull away from the crowds?  How do you relax and calm your spirit?  Do you take time to hear the voice of God and respond? I know I need this daily. It is the best for me when I can begin first thing by centering my mind, jotting down my to do list and putting it in His capable hands.

The Life Application Study Bible tells us God offers the opportunity to enter his ultimate place of rest—he invites us to come to Christ. To enter his rest, you must believe that God has this relationship in mind for you; you must stop trying to create it; you must trust in Christ for it; and you must determine to obey him. Today is the best time to find peace with God. Tomorrow may be too late.
