Proverbs 3:21-26 (MSG)
Dear friend, guard Clear Thinking and Common Sense with your life; don't for a minute lose sight of them. They'll keep your soul alive and well, they'll keep you fit and attractive. You'll travel safely, you'll neither tire nor trip. You'll take afternoon naps without a worry, you'll enjoy a good night's sleep. No need to panic over alarms or surprises, or predictions that doomsday's just around the corner, Because GOD will be right there with you; he'll keep you safe and sound.

We hear of some who have no common sense at all. The words are spit out as though that person is doomed to a life of tragedy and misfortune. While it is helpful to get through life; each day, with a healthy dose of common sense, there is something refreshing about the innocence of a tender, trusting heart.
The eyes which see
through a lens of goodness have a more pleasant view of the vista before them.
Colors are brighter, landscapes are more breathtaking, and people are worth
loving deeply. This is not to say there is no value in wariness. Clear thinking
and common sense have a place in all our lives. As Jesus said, "I am sending you out like sheep among
wolves. Therefore be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves." (Matthew 10:16)
Reading scripture on a
regular basis and delving into His Word attempting to learn how to apply it to
our lives, will keep us clear thinking. This practice will ensure we have
common sense while maintaining a compassionate spirit. Why? Because
GOD will be right there with you; he'll keep you safe and sound. (Proverbs
3:26)
