God, come close. Come quickly!
Open your ears—it’s my voice you’re hearing!
Treat my prayer as sweet incense rising; my raised hands are my evening prayers. (Psalm 141:1-2)
It is not unusual for me to call out to God for help. I find myself in need of a Savior daily. Trouble seems to find me often and I am stuck. Fear overtakes me, worry drops a blanket on my emotions and I am stopped in my tracks.
Can anyone relate? Am I the only one who struggles so often? If it weren't for God's presence in my life, for His amazing grace and mercy, I would not know where to turn. It seems I no sooner come out of one predicament than I am sinking in the midst of another.
This is a reality of living in a sin-filled world. My nature is not to do good and follow the path of righteousness, but to veer off that course way too frequently. Psalm 141 provide comfort and fills my heart with hope that I can continue to turn back to God and He will fill me once again.
My daily prayer is: God, come close. Come quickly!
Open your ears—it’s my voice you’re hearing!
Treat my prayer as sweet incense rising; my raised hands are my evening prayers. (Psalm 141:1-2)
