Matthew 18:10-14 (MSG)
"Watch that you don't treat a single one of these childlike believers arrogantly. You realize, don't you, that their personal angels are constantly in touch with my Father in heaven? "Look at it this way. If someone has a hundred sheep and one of them wanders off, doesn't he leave the ninety-nine and go after the one? And if he finds it, doesn't he make far more over it than over the ninety-nine who stay put? Your Father in heaven feels the same way. He doesn't want to lose even one of these simple believers.

Childlike faith is compelling. A new Believer's view of life as a Christian can be so very refreshing to watch.

"Watch that you don't treat a single one of these childlike believers arrogantly. You realize, don't you, that their personal angels are constantly in touch with my Father in heaven? (verse 10)

This is the line that always has my attention when reading from Matthew 18. It is also the line that has little explanation when researching in a commentary. These are the words of Jesus, so why is there not? Do His words speak for themselves? Jesus would admonish His followers to let the little children come to Him. He considers each of us His children; it stands to reason a new Believer would be even more precious.

If someone has a hundred sheep and one of them wanders off, doesn't he leave the ninety-nine and go after the one? (verse 12) Each new Believer is the ONE that Jesus pursues.  That is why we pray for our ONE, the one Jesus has placed on our hearts to go after, to rescue and return to the flock.

He doesn't want to lose even one of these simple believers. (Verse 14)
