Put some Action into it!

Psalm 100 is designed to prepare hearts for worship, so let's ready ourselves and read this short psalm together.  First, let us process what jumps off the page!  Since you are reading this through my eyes, that is where we begin - through my eyes.
According to grammar rules, a verb is one of the main parts of a sentence or question in English. In fact, you can’t have a sentence or a question without a verb!  The verb signals an action, an occurrence, or a state of being. Whether mental, physical, or mechanical, verbs always express activity.
I read this psalm and then asked myself what seems significant?  Which words appeared as bold when looking back over the verses? Below you will notice these words in bold print: shout, worship, know, enter, give thanks.
No matter what is on your heart each morning as you set aside your time with God, put some action into it, add some liveliness into the moment. If not outloud, then inside your spirit. If the children are still asleep and you are treasuring your time, shout on the inside.  If you are sitting at your desk at work, waiting for the day to begin, you can still worship with gusto, just on the inside.
It will show on the outside. Your day will be different, your demeanor softer, your countenance beaming. Your family and your co-workers will notice something is different, something is new. You have entered His gate; you have crossed over into His world which gave us our salvation.

Shout for joy to the Lord
Worship the Lord with gladness;
Know that the Lord is God.
Enter his gates with thanksgiving.
Give thanks to him and praise his name.
