Have No DOUBT!

Genesis 1:1-5

            The story of creation is one rich with God’s power.  He originates something out of nothing.  Where there is chaos, He creates order.  He shines light into darkness and brings new life where there is only death.  Ultimately, He is the One who defines what is GOOD.

            When we realize God’s power, how can we not have full confidence in His ability to work in our life?  Is there anything that God cannot resolve for GOOD?  The very first thing we learn about God is that where evil and darkness exist, He is able to penetrate His light and goodness.  We need not consider any circumstances too dismal for God to change. 

            God is in the business of restoring life and hope.  Places that seem dead are not beyond God’s power.  No relationship is too broken and no situation is too far gone.  No addiction is too strong.  No wounds or sorrows are too deep.  God breathes new life into all living things.

            I find that doubt can be replaced by faith when I look at what God has done.  I am in a new place in my life because of God’s light shining into areas of darkness and sin that I needed to leave.  None of it was quick and easy.  But there was good reason to have hope with God faithfully leading the way.  What sin and hardship had destroyed, God restored by His grace.

            Today I am living a better life with a new grandson.  I think of him as my love nugget.  When I spend endless hours gliding with him in my arms, I sense his innocent soul stirring the Holy Spirit within me.  I am drawn into God's presence.  How can I not be struck by God's love and goodness when He has given new life where none existed before?
            Have no doubt or fear when facing into tough circumstances. Our God is faithful. He is with us, always.  He is Almighty with eternal power and a divine nature.  Creation sings His praises...Our GOD is GOOD.
