Romans 8:1-8

  • What is it that God has done for us?
  • How is there no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus?
  • Where are we free and when are we given a life of peace?

We seem to find it difficult to realize the full impact of living according to the Spirit.  We continue to be burdened by guilt and shame.  We keep accumulating wounds that we must hide from others.

We suffer from an inflated sense of self or maybe just a poor self image.  We lack confidence when we should be fully aware of our identity in Christ.  We fail to meet expectations and feel defeated, stressed and depressed.  Our relationships rely on appearances when what they need is transparency and intimacy.
We set lofty goals to convince ourselves we are enough.  We don't truly comprehend how to live with the knowledge that we have been given all we need by the grace of God.
Romans 8:1-8

God does not intend for it to be this way.  Jesus is with us, merciful and mighty.  Jesus shows us where we are broken and heals us.  Jesus tells us the truth about our spiritual needs so we can live in wholeness of the life God wants for us.  Seek Jesus first for He is the light of the world.  Be freed and remember what Pastor Steve said, "I am a beloved child of God and I live in the Unshakeable Kingdom of God!"
