REFLECT

The Israelites fell into their old patterns so quickly. Moses didn’t appear on their timetable, so their impatience and doubting nature took over. Idols, once again, became their focus. They couldn’t get answers from Moses, so they turned to creating false gods. Their idol worship dismissed all the miracles they had seen the God of Moses perform on their behalf. They decided to create a god they could shape to their own selfish liking.

The gods they created blinded them to the love a loving God wants to shower on them. Would they ever learn that God cannot work when we elevate anyone or anything above him?
