REFLECTION

Everlasting Covenant

by Nancy Gleeson

There will come a time when the whole world shall fear and worship God, making his name renowned and laying aside idolatries. God tells of His plan for His people who place hope in this promise.

His promise is given as a covenant, between God and those who repent of their sins. A Redeemer who is perfect in humanity and in deity will buy us out of slavery avenging wrongs done by us. Jesus Christ will protect our inheritance.

This Messiah works for only those who ask for His services, knowing they need Him. God promises an abiding Spirit and enduring word through which He will accomplish His purpose throughout all creation.

He is Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, always with us. Ancient of Days whose word never changes is sovereign over all the earth. His covenant for all Believers is celebrated with joy and hope.

For unto us, the Christ Child is born.

UALC’S CAMPAIGN OF PRAYER - MONDAY

HUMILITY: Soften our hearts to one another. Give us eyes to see our common humanity, each of us and all of us created in your image, and give us the gift of empathy, to care deeply about one another.
