Poured Out for You

"When the hour came, Jesus and his apostles reclined at the table. And he said to them, “I have eagerly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer." (Luke 22:14-15)

Remember the Morton Salt commercials from many years ago?  This famous picture of a girl pouring out salt as she walked along is still recognizable today. This young lady first appeared on the scene in 1914 and is still pouring out to this day.

“This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you."  Jesus first appeared on the scene over 2000 years ago, and He began pouring out into everyone he encountered. His Disciples followed suit and they also began pouring out to those who came into their lives. That is the command we have been give as well.

"...because he poured out his life unto death, and was numbered with the transgressors. For he bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors. (Isaiah 53:12)

Let us practice pouring out our love and grace to others around us, as we pour into their lives with the truth and love and grace of Jesus Christ.
