Have You Heard The News? Romans 10:5-14

Have you heard the news? Did you hear what happened? No I’m not talking about who won American Idol (though that was pretty cool).

I’m talking about Jesus. Have you heard that Jesus died for you? Have you been told how he loved you so much that he couldn’t imagine eternity without you so he willingly went to the cross? Did you hear that all are welcome in the kingdom of heaven weather Jew or Gentile?

Yes? Well then who have you told? Our scripture passage today is pretty clear, “But how can people call for help if they don't know who to trust? And how can they know who to trust if they haven't heard of the One who can be trusted? And how can they hear if nobody tells them?... The point is: Before you trust, you have to listen. But unless Christ's Word is preached, there's nothing to listen to.”

My pastor said that the average person in my denomination tells someone about Jesus every fourteen years. I’m sorry but that is not okay. With news like this we cannot keep silent. Who do you know that needs to hear? Well, what are you waiting for? Turn off your computer and go tell them. :)
