Becoming a Christian, a Christ follower requires turning from sin (repentance) and turning to Christ (faith).
Acts 19:4 (NIV)
"Paul said,
"John's baptism was a baptism of repentance. He told the people to believe in
the one coming after him, that is, in Jesus."
When I share my faith journey, I may say that I believed in Jesus, I knew who He was, but it didn't really matter to me. I did not have the repentance piece. My heart was lacking that part and it wasn't until I was convicted of my sin that my faith in Jesus caused me to turn from sin.
How about you? When did both of these important pieces come together and enrich your faith journey?
