2 Corninthians 4

2 Corinthians 4:4 (NIV)  The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.

What a compelling verse.  Just think about it a minute.  The god of this age - Satan - has blinded the minds of unbelievers.  Is it any wonder our children have gone astray--for their parents have gone astray as well.

2 Corinthians 4:7-9 (NIV)  But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.  We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair;  persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.

We don't like the thought that Satan, the devil, is considered the god of this age. But can't deny there is trouble in the wind. Our hearts is open to God's will, so how then do we make a difference.  We live and love as if there were no tomorrow.  Everything that needs to be said is said today.  Those things that need to be forgiven, are forgiven today, hurts are healed, bridged are built, shoulders are touched, smiles are smiled.

Satan may be god of this world, he isn't god of our home.  For this world is not our home.
