Pray for Deliverance from Satan

It is socially dangerous to admit to belief in demonic spiritual powers. Still,  we cannot risk ignorance or rejection of what the Word reveals to us about Satan and his soldiers.

Throughout the gospels Jesus taught about demonic spirits and the battle lines of darkness and light. (John 3:20-21) Jesus knew the reality of unseen cosmic forces. As He completed the will of His Father, He became a wounded warrior for our sakes.

Soldiers of the cross don’t give up! We are assured that God will protect the faithful from evil. While God does allow trials in our lives, He does not lead us into temptation. “No testing has overtaken you that is not common to everyone. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tested beyond your strength, but with the testing he will also provide the way out so that you may be able to endure it.” (1 Corinthians 10:13)

A powerful reminder of the constant cosmic battle, and the need for constant prayer is from faithful prayer warrior Daniel. We are to stand steadfast in prayer and understand that delayed prayer is not unanswered prayer. "Then He continued, do not be afraid Daniel. Since the first day you set your mind to gain understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard, and I have come in response to them. But the prince of the Persian kingdom resisted me twenty-one days. Then Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me because I was detained there with the king of Persia."(Daniel 10:12-13)

(In Christ Alone)
“No power of hell, no scheme of man,
Can ever pluck me from His hand;
Till He returns or calls me home,
Here in the power of Christ I'll stand.”
