Exalted Overall

Read 1 Chronicles 29:10-13

In this passage David is praising and blessing God. We have the privilege of doing the same. The realization of who God is and what He has done for us should send us into unending praise and adoration!

All of creation is God’s! He is ruler over all! His power and majesty is unequaled!

There’s a beautiful hymn that says it well:

O God beyond all praising, we worship You today and sing the love amazing that songs cannot repay; for we can only wonder at every gift You send, at blessings without number and mercies without end: we lift our hearts before You and wait upon Your Word, we honor and adore You, our Great and Mighty Lord.

Then hear, O gracious Savior, accept the love we bring, that we who know Your favor may serve You as our King; and whether our tomorrows be filled with good or ill, we’ll triumph through our sorrows and rise to bless You still: to marvel at Your beauty and glory in Your ways, and make a joyful duty our sacrifice of praise.

May we live our lives as the hymn says – praising, blessing, exalting the One worthy of our praise!

QUESTIONS:

1. What does it look like to praise and exalt God in all circumstances? How does praising God grow and deepen your faith?

2. In what ways might you incorporate praising God into your everyday life? Song? Prayer? Sharing with others about who He is?

PRAYER:

O God beyond all praising…our thanks and praise for who You are and all You have done for us. You are worthy of our praise!
