Acts 16:6-15

Years ago our family bought a new fishing boat. The first time out the motor stopped running. We had to be towed to shore, a new boat! The next time we ventured out, one of the tires fell off the trailer as we were returning from our day on the water.

We had numerous excursions ending in similar style. It got so bad Dave decided to sell the boat and be done with all the trouble, but it would not sell. We took the boat out one last time and had no mechanical difficulties, but a very bad storm came up and we had to make a run for the shore. We spotted a family whose boat had overturned; mom and dad and son were bobbing in the water with no life preservers and none of them could swim.

It seems God was in control of everything. We were able to bring the family to safety and immediately the next day the boat sold. There is much more to this story, but we all believe the Holy Spirit was controlling this adventure.

"Paul and his companions traveled throughout the region of Phrygia and Galatia, having been kept by the Holy Spirit from preaching the word in the province of Asia." (Acts 16:6)

We find the Holy Spirit controlling Paul’s adventures as well for if you read on you will see what happens next.  Do you have similar story to tell?
