Genesis 1:1-31

Genesis 1:31 (NIV)
God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning--the sixth day.

If you are anything like me you often wake up in the morning, and after that first cup of coffee, glance out the window and check the weather.  Then, stepping out onto the deck or patio, marvel at the beauty of a sunrise.  I can't tell you how many times I am stunned in the early morning.  The existence a God, of a mighty and powerful God is evident to me.  The colors that compliment this process are breathtaking.  If you live near an ocean or in the wooded north lands or overlooking the Grand Canyon, wherever morning greets you, you can't help but be mesmerized.

Genesis 1:27 (NIV)
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.

We are a part of God's creation and just as we admire all the beauty He blessed us with, it is good to know that God is pleased with His creation of us too.  We are valuable to Him, we have a purpose in His eyes and work we must do. Knowing and understanding this is reason to get up in the morning and prepare the share the Good News. God's love is evident and all around us, let's open our eyes and greet the day!
